We operate our own Quality Management System. All materials and fabrics are manufactured to FDA Quality Assured standards and are sourced from within the EU. All bags are supplied type tested and certified by one of the two accredited Test Laboratories we use, these are IBE-BVI and Labordata. Certificate number and test laboratory information are attached to all FIBCs along with manufacture date, Safe Working Load, Safety Factor and handling recommendations/guidance.
Our UK manufacturing facility is located in Dundee, which during the 18th and 19th century was home to a thriving linen and jute textile industry, making Dundee a significant port for global trade. Many of our products are made from polypropylene fabric, this is a man made replacement for the woven jute fabric once produced in the city. Bulkbag Containers are one of the last companies in the city associated with its textile heritage, we still utilise many of the same heavy industrial sewing techniques learnt from that era, these are applied by our skilled workforce. We are happy to be signed up to and accredited by the Living Wage Foundation.
We stock a range of commonly used fabric specifications and widths (sourced from within the EC) allowing us to produce an extensive range of products from our stock. This puts us in the unique position of being able to offer very short lead times, standard deliveries for stock items are next day for orders placed before 12 noon and within 7 days for bespoke items, eliminating the necessity for customers stocking high value or slow moving finished goods. Our freight carriers offer a next day delivery service to most UK destinations, some remote parts and Islands are on a 2-3 day service. We deliver to other EU destinations outside the UK, which can be by road/sea freight as well as air freight. Deliveries to the rest of the world are usually be air freight but can be arranged by sea.
